Academic Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Instructor to join our team at Insights Training Group. As an Academic Instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering individualized and group lessons to assist students in overcoming specific difficulties in mathematics and reading.
Key Responsibilities- Instructional Delivery: Provide instruction to students enrolled in Reading, Mathematics, Workplace Communications, Employability Skills, Health Education, Driver's Education, or GED.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting, ensuring maximum student motivation and a high degree of discipline.
- Student Support: Establish a high degree of student/instructor rapport, utilize all possible curricular resources available, and make adequate preparation for classroom.
- Record Keeping: Maintain students' personal folders, recording personal data, including test scores, evaluations, attendance, incident reports, achievement awards, and any other pertinent information concerning students.
- Evaluation and Feedback: Evaluate student employees' performance in academics and employability skills, providing regular feedback to student employees regarding appropriate employability skills.
- Performance Management: Work toward meeting performance management goals and assist with quarterly graduation exercises.
- Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices, modeling appropriate employability skills for dress, language, and work habits.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in education from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications and Licenses: Certified to teach in the state of Kentucky (may be waived by the Regional Office, but must pursue certification) and a valid Kentucky State Driver's License.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw related conclusions.
