Manufacturing Equipment Operator

Job Description
Overview:
As a Manufacturing Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product excellence by consistently monitoring and upholding quality standards. This includes conducting both visual and mechanical inspections of products while adhering to safety protocols at all times. You will be responsible for executing setups according to established procedures, as well as operating and managing the loading and unloading of machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Maintaining detailed logs and documentation to support traceability and quality assurance.
- Engaging in cross-training initiatives to enhance skill sets.
- Keeping your workspace and equipment in a clean and organized state.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing machine operation.
- Demonstrated manufacturing experience with a strong focus on detail and prioritization.
- Physical capability to lift, push, pull, squat, stoop, and bend as necessary.
- Ability to work independently and distinguish colors accurately.
- Proficiency in using and interpreting a micrometer.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and computer literacy.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate in a team setting and work overtime when required.
- Successful completion of background checks and drug testing.
Preferred:
- Experience in extrusion processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with wire drawing, extrusion, or cabling.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending are required.
- Occasional lifting of objects weighing less than 10 pounds.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing between 10-25 pounds.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing between 25-30 pounds.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing between 30-50 pounds.
- Occasional pushing and pulling of reels.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while responding to unexpected challenges with efficiency and professionalism.
