Job Summary

This is a 13-week contract opportunity for a registered nurse (RN) with case management experience to work on-site at Detroit Receiving Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating care along a continuum through effective resource coordination to help patients achieve optimal health, access to care, and appropriate utilization of resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage medical necessity process for accurate and timely payment for services
  • Negotiate with payers on a case-by-case basis
  • Coordinate care with healthcare providers and patients
  • Ensure optimal health outcomes and resource utilization
Requirements
  • 2+ years of acute care experience
  • 1+ year of case management experience in an acute care discharge environment
  • State license and BLS certification
