Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include:
- Serving as the main liaison for the IT department concerning the infrastructure platform, leading the IT infrastructure team.
- Implementing and managing changes to IT infrastructure within operational facilities.
- Driving operational excellence and optimizing service processes across the terminal.
- Ensuring IT service delivery for end-user computing, networking, and computing resources.
- Collaborating with regional and global experts to standardize local hardware platforms in alignment with global standards.
- Enhancing cyber security compliance and excellence in accordance with regional strategies.
- Developing and managing the budget for infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with terminal infrastructure.
- Establishing robust business continuity processes and disaster recovery plans.
- Coordinating with local and regional vendors to meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Sharing best practices and leveraging synergies across terminals with regional counterparts.
- Building IT service management and infrastructure expertise within the local IT team.
- Effectively managing stakeholder relationships across various teams and functions.
- Implementing and maintaining standard 24/7 network and automation monitoring services.
- Staying updated on technological innovations in networking and virtualization to advise on their applicability.
- Optimizing data center and server management processes to ensure high availability.
- Identifying the necessary skill sets within the IT infrastructure team to meet business needs.
- Adopting and implementing modern data center management techniques.
- Acting as the primary interface with the automation team for hardware configurations.
- Leading troubleshooting efforts for major incidents to restore operations promptly.
- Conducting root cause analyses for significant incidents and ensuring the implementation of corrective measures.
- Collaborating with the Terminal IT manager to define the modernization and simplification of the terminal tech portfolio.
Qualifications and Skills:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A university degree or higher vocational qualification in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in infrastructure operations and complex network platform implementations.
- At least five years of experience in project management and process documentation.
- Operational technology hardware and integration experience.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure networking, switching concepts, and SD-WAN capabilities.
- Excellent coordination skills and understanding of systems infrastructure hardware.
- Familiarity with wireless connectivity and LTE environments.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies such as LEAN and Six Sigma.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work shifts as required by operational demands.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
- Experience in managing infrastructure teams and vendor relationships.
- A good understanding of terminal operating models.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based but may require some outdoor coordination activities during testing phases. The role involves standard office tasks, including computer work, with occasional physical demands such as lifting light items.
