About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining proper patient care functions, utilizing the nursing process to provide healthcare needs of assigned patients within existing standards of care. This includes assisting physicians with assessment and care of patients, gathering and recording data into medical records, and assisting with lab clinic and office procedures directly related to patient care and front office duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain proper function of patient care, assist physician with assessment and care of patients, and assist with office visit preparation.
  • Gather and record accurate data into GEMMS system, enter medications, problem list, and medical history in appropriate areas of the chart.
  • Follow out physician orders, educate patients, and assist with completion of consent forms for procedures as required.
  • Assist lab clinic as needed, perform venipuncture, order appropriate lab work, and prepare blood samples.
  • Assist in Anti-Coagulation clinic, including patient education, maintaining education booklets, and performing finger sticks for preparation of coagulants.
Requirements:
  • Professional Nurse with Current GA State License.
  • Current ACLS and CPR certifications.
  • Associates Degree.
  • Minimum of two years experience in acute or ambulatory care setting with patients in medical/surgical or cardiac setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three to five years experience in cardiology.
Physical Demands:
  • Weight Lifted: Up to 50 lbs, Occasionally 0-30% of time.
  • Weight Carried: Up to 20 lbs, Occasionally 0-30% of time.
  • Vision: Moderate, Frequently 31-65% of time.
  • Kneeling/Stooping/Bending: Frequently 31-65%.
  • Standing/Walking: Frequently 31-65%.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Frequently 31-65%.
  • Intensity of Work: Frequently 31-65%.
