Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Dixie Electric, Plumbing & Air. As a Residential HVAC Installation and Repair Professional, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential and commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential and commercial customers.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
  • Travel to job sites in the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of customers.
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
  • Identify, report, and educate homeowners on potential opportunities for additional business, such as newer systems, service contracts, and additional services.

Requirements
  • A current EPA certification and state registration.
  • A minimum of 3 years of residential HVAC experience with a strong focus on customer service.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items with additional manpower or appropriate devices, carry ladders, work from heights, and work in small spaces.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills for HVAC installation, maintenance, repair of systems, and equipment.
  • Ability to pass a drug test, physical, motor vehicle record check, and background check.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Passion for helping others and present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude at all times.
