Job Summary:


Job Title: Yard Hostler

At Core-Mark, we are seeking a skilled Yard Hostler to join our team. As a Yard Hostler, you will be responsible for moving tractor trailers to/from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspections and moves trailers safely following all DOT regulations and company safe-driving policies.
  • Fuels, moves, and parks tractors and trailers to the docks.
  • Transports tractor trailers to offsite maintenance and/or inspection facilities; requires local city driving.
  • Secures trucks, trailers, and equipment always. Completes all required documentation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 6+ months CMV driving experience
  • CDL-A Required
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift;
