About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Instructor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Technical Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality technical training programs to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver comprehensive technical training programs to meet the needs of our employees.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, and instructional aids.
  • Conduct training sessions in a classroom, laboratory, or virtual setting, ensuring that participants receive engaging and effective instruction.
  • Evaluate participant performance and comprehension, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for resolution.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and maintain training courses and materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, incorporating new knowledge and skills into training programs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in adult education, training, or instructional design.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality training programs that meet business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address training needs.
  • Proficiency in instructional design software, such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
  • Experience with training evaluation and assessment methods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business objectives and develop training programs that meet those needs.
