About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our vascular clinical team at Merrillville Vascular Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiology procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring reliability of results and patient safety.
  • Set up imaging equipment, take images of patients, and record results.
  • Operate computer and radiographic equipment for image production, documentation, and quality control.
  • Prepare the operating room for procedures, including retrieval of basic supplies.
  • Assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures and special radiographic procedures.
  • Follow radiation safety, universal precautions, infection control, sterile technique, and fire safety protocols.
  • Maintain documentation of patient testing information.
Requirements
  • Current state RT license required.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credential required.
  • Basic life support certification preferred.
  • 1+ year patient care experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to maintain professionalism and customer focus in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Must be self-started who can work independently as well as in a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
  • Patient-focused with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • EMR experience.
