Job Summary

Rome Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Coordinator to oversee the financial operations of our Residential Healthcare Facility. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum reimbursement and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial approval for new admissions, ensuring compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
  • Determine insurance eligibility for residents, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
  • Complete and submit all necessary paperwork, including OCDSS admission and discharge forms.
  • Assist families with scheduling Medicaid applications and re-certifications, coordinating with OCDSS case workers.
  • Complete Social Security forms to request Representative Payee status for residents.
  • Manage Rep Payee accounts, following NYS regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Report deceased residents to the Medicaid Inspector General.
  • Assist residents with Veteran's benefits, completing required forms and forwarding to the Veteran's Administration.
  • Coordinate temporary stay requests for short-term residents.
  • Notify staff of Medicare coverage status and complete Medicare NOMNC and ABN forms.
  • Inform residents and responsible parties of Medicare benefit expiration or discontinuation, explaining their rights and responsibilities.
  • Assist with family questions regarding billing issues.
  • Coordinate pensions and resolve issues related to annuities.
  • Manage Resident Personal Funds Accounts, setting up, discontinuing, and sending statements quarterly.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Social Work, or Health Service Management.
  • Skilled Nursing Facility billing experience with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and State Agencies.
