CVOR Technologist

Nurse First is seeking a skilled CVOR Technologist to join our team in a specialty position that offers a challenging and rewarding career opportunity.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a CVOR Technologist-Medical with 2+ years of experience in Cardiac Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of complex cases, including open hearts, thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, and more.
Responsibilities:
- First scrub experience required, with a strong understanding of open heart procedures, CABG, and Valves.
- Must be willing to cross-train into General OR if CV volumes are low.
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required, with a focus on exceptional patient care and teamwork.
- Floating to the floor as a 1:1 sitter when needed to supplement hours, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Schedule Information:
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 0645-1515, with starting time at 6a for Open Heart Case Prep.
- Weeknight call requirements: 3-4 times per week, 1515-0645, ensuring prompt response within 15 minutes.
- Weekend call requirements: every other to every third weekend, Fri at 1515 to Mon at 0645, providing excellent support during off-hours.
- Holiday and call requirements: rotating holidays, must be willing to work holidays, and respond to calls promptly.
- Call response time: 15 minutes with 8-hour reprieve shifts for post-call, and access to a sleep room available.
