Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care during night shifts. This role requires the application of the nursing process to deliver care that is appropriate for the developmental stage of the patient. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential to create a holistic care plan that addresses the needs of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize extensive professional knowledge and practical expertise in nursing, while understanding related disciplines.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues and lead manageable projects.
  • Analyze complex situations and provide innovative solutions.
  • Impact various operational and service activities within the team.
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate sensitive information effectively and build consensus among stakeholders.
  • Oversee the care provided by the patient care team and coordinate care plans.
  • Ensure patient care meets safety and effectiveness standards.
  • Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate patient care based on clinical judgment and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Educate patients and families, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans.
  • Advocate for patients and address ethical and clinical concerns.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly.
  • Protect patient health information at all times.
  • Adhere to infection prevention protocols.
  • Deliver competent care tailored to patient needs.
  • Continuously assess patient conditions and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge and resources to manage patient care effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • PREFERRED: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification.
  • Current AHA PALS or ENPC Certification.
  • CPI Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to interpret EKG results.
