We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community-Based Paraprofessional to join our team at Youth Villages. As a key member of our community outreach team, you will play a vital role in supporting youth and families in need.
Key Responsibilities- Transport and supervise youth and families, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Conduct and interact in supervised visits, fostering positive relationships and promoting healthy interactions.
- Provide support to direct-line staff as needed, contributing to the overall success of our programs.
- Coordinate transports and supervised visits, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, adhering to contract requirements and Youth Villages' standards.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to referral sources and Youth Villages supervisors, providing critical updates and insights.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with referral sources, fostering trust and cooperation.
- Ensure possession of a valid driver's license and adequate car insurance at all times.
- Conduct ongoing assessments, as outlined by referral sources and Youth Villages, to inform program development and improvement.
- Teach and demonstrate parenting skills, empowering families to build stronger relationships and improve their overall well-being.
- Engage in required trainings and professional development opportunities, enhancing your skills and knowledge to better serve our clients.
- Perform other support duties as needed, as directed by the Team Leader.
- High school degree or equivalent required; experience preferred but not necessary.
- Ability to remain in stationary positions for extended periods, with regular movement throughout the office and occasional travel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
