About the Role

The Senior Librarian will work under the direction of the Department Head and will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage library programs and services for adult, youth, and multi-generational audiences
  • Develop and implement outreach and community engagement strategies
  • Supervise and evaluate the work of individuals and teams
  • Cultivate equity, diversity, and inclusion in the working environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master of Library Science degree from an ALA-accredited college or university
  • Three years of professional public library experience in area of responsibility
  • Strong decision-making, planning, and scheduling skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
  • Recent, relevant public library experience
  • Experience and knowledge of presenting programs and cultivating community partnerships
