Studio Art Practice Faculty Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced artist and educator to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Studio Art Practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in studio art, including painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture, as well as developing and leading new courses that align with the School of Art's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Teach a range of studio art courses, including painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture
- Develop and lead new courses that align with the School of Art's mission and goals
- Advise and mentor students in their artistic development
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and curriculum development
- Engage in ongoing professional development and research in the field of studio art
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a terminal degree in studio art or a related field, as well as a strong record of teaching and artistic achievement. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse academic community, and will be able to develop and lead courses that align with the School of Art's mission and goals.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred qualifications include experience teaching studio art courses, a strong record of artistic achievement, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
