This role involves performing advanced and/or managerial psychological tasks. Responsibilities include coordinating psychological initiatives and programs, conducting psychological assessments, diagnosing and counseling clients, and engaging in psychological research. The position may involve supervising the work of others and operates under limited supervision, allowing for significant initiative and independent judgment. The Senior Clinical Psychologist reports to the Psychology Manager. A PhD in Psychology is required. Responsibilities encompass conducting psychological evaluations, diagnosing and counseling clients, administering tests, and collaborating with the treatment team. The role also includes providing clinical supervision to the psychology department. General supervision is provided by the Psychology Services Manager, who offers clinical guidance, consultation, and technical support to program staff. The Senior Clinical Psychologist provides clinical supervision, consultation, and technical assistance to program staff.

Compliance with HHS Immunization Policy is mandatory:

Proof of immunity or documented vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chickenpox), Tdap, annual influenza vaccinations, and hepatitis B (if applicable) is required.


Key Responsibilities:

Regular attendance is expected, and the role may require adherence to a specific shift schedule, including rotating shifts and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policies, along with performing other assigned duties.


Develop, coordinate, and assess mental health and psychological service delivery, activities, and programs.
Administer and interpret psychological assessments and evaluations.
Conduct behavioral analyses, and create and monitor behavior modification and skill acquisition plans.
Design and implement program evaluation studies and research projects, disseminating findings effectively.
Develop treatment plans targeting specific behaviors or symptoms.

Provide ongoing training to clinical and paraprofessional staff.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings as the psychology services representative, assisting in the review of comprehensive treatment plans by providing insights into potential psychological factors influencing an individual's mental health and suggesting psychological approaches for treatment or resolution. (10%)
Offer clinical consultation to primary clinicians for diagnostic clarification or treatment recommendations.
Adhere to HRD mandatory training requirements and engage in ongoing training provided by the department of competency, training, and development to maintain and enhance skills.
Deliver exceptional customer service.

Additional duties may include actively participating in or supporting the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may necessitate an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient understanding of psychology, psychometrics, and physiological principles; diagnostic criteria; and psychological evaluation methodologies.

Skills in utilizing psychological evaluation and assessment techniques, as well as mediation procedures.

Ability to provide psychological counseling, interpret diagnostic evaluations, analyze behavior, develop behavior modification and skill acquisition plans, communicate effectively, and supervise the work of others.
