Hourly Rate: $20.44
Position Overview
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating powered industrial machinery, including both stand-up and sit-down forklifts equipped with forks or clamps. Your primary duties will involve loading and unloading pallets and cases, staging orders, and performing general forklift operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct all operations with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Preferred experience with sit-down forklifts.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in forklift operation and warehouse settings.
- Demonstrate efficiency in all assigned tasks.
- Utilize forklifts to store inbound shipments and move products to designated storage areas.
- Pick cases individually onto pallets using powered equipment.
- Prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in quantity and item selection.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure inventory integrity.
- Report any quality discrepancies.
- Keep equipment and materials organized and in good condition.
- Assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
- Perform daily inspections of equipment.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by management.
- Ensure proper rotation of stock.
- Successfully complete a forklift training program.
- Adhere to all OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, as well as to complete relevant documentation.
Qualifications
- Must successfully pass a Forklift Driving Skills assessment.
- This role requires the ability to lift cases weighing between 20-45 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
- Proficient in basic forklift operations, including maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Experience with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets.
- Familiarity with operational standards, including OSHA regulations.
Safety Responsibilities
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Enforce safety policies and operational guidelines.
- Assist in establishing warehouse standards and procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of safety incidents.
- Designate safety personnel as required.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, safe, and orderly.
