Job Title: CNC Senior Programmer

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Senior Programmer to join our team at Veterans Prime, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic injection moldmaking, experience with CAD/CAM software, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model part geometry changes for moldability
  • Integrate automation techniques using the latest equipment and technology
  • Collaborate with the team to solve problems and develop new innovations
  • Read engineering drawings and use necessary measuring devices
  • Perform design calculations and prepare equipment or material specifications
  • Train new department members and evaluate systems for improvement
  • Review product design for compliance with engineering principles and company standards
  • Generate toolpath programs for electrode cutting and mold components
  • Verify programs before sending them to the shop floor
  • Make recommendations to mold designers to facilitate ease of manufacturing
  • Work closely with toolmakers and suggest appropriate machining processes
  • Research and stay up to date with software and cutter capabilities
  • Follow up with machinists to verify how programs run
  • May be required to run programs on the CNC machines
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program or state indentured apprenticeship in a related field of study
  • Experience with standard and molds with actions
  • Background in plastic injection moldmaking
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software, such as Pro-E, Solidworks, UniGraphics, and applicable CAM packages
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
