We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Manager to lead our Maternal Child Health department at Ascension Saint Agnes in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a full-time opportunity to join a team of dedicated healthcare professionals who share our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
About the RoleThe Nurse Manager will be responsible for managing the activities, workflow, and nursing resources of assigned nursing units. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, conducting hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff, identifying and resolving issues affecting patient care services, and developing and implementing policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services.
About the DepartmentThe Maternal Child Health department at Ascension Saint Agnes provides comprehensive care to women and newborns throughout their life cycle. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a compassionate and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Manage daily operations of the nursing unit, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities for staff members.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement plans of care that meet the unique needs of patients.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by law and hospital policy.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in leadership roles, preferably in maternal child health or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
