Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Bayhealth is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Sussex Campus Hospital. As a LPN, you will provide professional nursing care to patients, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct patient care, including obtaining and recording vital signs, administering medications, and performing routine treatment procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, communicating effectively with patients and families, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients, including obtaining and recording vital signs, administering medications, and performing routine treatment procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including documenting patient information, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and compassion.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Education: Certificate Program Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN or equivalent credit hours in an RN program.
  • Credential(s): Basic Life Support; Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Experience: 2 years ED experience as a Tech/LPN; or 2 years of LPN with medication administration experience; or a combination of above.
