Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Shift Lead at one of our vibrant cafe locations. As a Shift Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless store operations, providing exceptional customer service, and fostering a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Assist the General Manager in leading the Baristas to deliver an outstanding customer experience, including providing exceptional hospitality and knowledge of specialty coffee.
  • Store Operations: Oversee daily store activities, including preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Cash Handling and Inventory Management: Ensure accurate cash handling, manage inventory levels, and maintain store assets and facilities.
  • Employee Development: Provide coaching and feedback to team members on drink quality, product knowledge, and overall performance.
  • Customer Service: Engage with customers, resolve issues promptly, and promote a positive brand image.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Passion for Coffee: Share your passion for specialty coffee with customers and colleagues, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional beverage quality.
  • Leadership and Communication: Possess strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide team members, and effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders.
  • Operational Knowledge: Understand and apply operational procedures, policies, and protocols to ensure seamless store operations.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced retail environment, and be able to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
