Physical Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team as a Senior Physical Therapist. In this role, you will provide oversight to the physical therapy team, assist department leadership in overseeing day-to-day operations, and resolve problems.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate staff work schedules and patient care assignments to ensure timely service delivery.
- Follow, clarify, and enforce department policies and procedures to ensure efficient provision of physical therapy services.
- Assume supervisory responsibility in the absence of department leadership.
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of physical therapy personnel.
- Coordinate and participate in department performance improvement activities.
- Serve as a clinical resource to the physical therapy team and assist departmental staff with resolving complex cases and/or problems.
- Participate in setting and implementing goals for the physical therapy team.
- Serve as a mentor to assist in professional growth and development of therapy staff.
- Provide in-service education and orientation programs.
- Oversee, instruct, and evaluate physical therapy staff in the application of physical therapy principles, modalities, and techniques.
- Assist with volunteer program, as needed.
- Function as a role model for customer service.
- Assist in marketing physical therapy services to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals in the community.
- Serve as a clinical resource for community-based agencies, institutions, and universities.
- Assist management in department functions and special projects, i.e., utilization review, quality assurance, program development, and committee work.
- Conduct studies and research projects as requested.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a certification in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Three to five years of progressively more responsible experience in a clinical area to acquire leadership skills and skills for specialized and independent patient treatment.
- Leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan.
