Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist I to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, as well as assisting radiologists with interventional breast procedures and breast ultrasound examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms following appropriate assessment by clinicians.
  • Assist radiologists during interventional procedures, including breast biopsies and needle localizations.
  • Effectively interact with Denver Health's PACS system to ensure accurate data entry, image post-processing, and image archiving.
  • Maintain records of examinations and other pertinent information on patients within Epic.
  • Perform QC/QA processes daily on digital equipment, including phantom image testing.
  • Assemble order requisitions, patient history sheets, and comparison films for radiologists' review.
  • Manage pathology results, including printing and copying reports, verifying patient schedules, and entering results into the computer system.
Requirements
  • Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program Required.
  • At least 1 year of professional work experience in performing breast screening and diagnostic procedures.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required.
  • RTM-RT Mammography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required.
  • RTR-RT Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required.
