About the Role:

Pennsylvania Medicine is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to patients, conducting innovative research, and educating future leaders in the field of medicine. As a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician at Princeton Health, you will play a critical role in maintaining the comfort and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Evaluate and resolve maintenance problems in an efficient and professional manner, applying knowledge of HVAC/R trade principles.
  • Inspection and Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks, including filter cleaning, lubrication, and leak testing, to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Use schematic and blueprint reading skills to diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, and apply control work expertise to resolve problems.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform soldering, brazing, welding, electrical circuit repairs, and other tasks to maintain and repair HVAC/R systems.
  • New Installation: Assist in the sizing, estimating, installing, and modifying of HVAC/R systems, including chillers, cooling towers, refrigeration, and freezing units.
  • Operating and Record Keeping: Monitor and maintain records of PM activities, repair lists, parts, and service manuals, and catalogs.
  • Requisition and Maintenance of Parts and Supplies: Order and maintain standard and hard-to-get parts and supplies.
  • Job Coordination: Schedule activities with various departments and individuals, estimate time and material requirements, and monitor work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Emergency Duties: Participate in snow removal, fire response, and natural disaster response efforts, as needed.

Credentials:

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent, and/or four-year apprenticeship required.
  • Experience: Eight years of HVAC/R experience or equivalent experience, with Siemens Building Automation experience preferred.
