Residential Counselor - FULL TIME

The role of the Residential Counselor is essential in delivering therapeutic assistance to young children and adolescents facing social, emotional, and behavioral health challenges. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, this position involves providing direct care and support to the youth, employing the Building Communities of Care (BCC) Trauma Informed Care model. Responsibilities include engaging in daily activities, facilitating group sessions, and implementing structured routines while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve treatment plan goals.

The Cottage Residential program specifically serves male clients aged 6-13 who have undergone trauma and exhibit mental health difficulties.

Work Schedule: Shifts available from Wednesdays to Saturdays, 2 p.m. – 10 p.m., and Sundays to Wednesdays, 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children in a residential or comparable setting is preferred.
  • Successful completion of CPR/First Aid certification during New Employee Orientation is required.
