Position Overview

Amcor is currently looking for dedicated individuals to become part of our production facility.

SHIFT SCHEDULE:

Monday to Friday, 2nd & 3rd shifts

(Training will occur during Day shifts)

COMPENSATION:

Slitter Operators - $19.80/hour

Press Operators - $23.75/hour

Plus a $1.25 night shift premium

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF PRESS OPERATORS
  • Oversee all operational aspects of press lines, including changeovers, machine start-up, operation, and shutdown.
  • Support the organization in achieving World Class standards in all business aspects, starting with Safety.
  • Execute all jobs according to customer specifications, manufacturing guidelines, print standards, color folders, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately, including production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage records, QA reports, and roll tickets.
  • Collaborate with and guide the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job changeover and downtime.
  • Train and mentor the press assistant to enhance efficiency in all required duties outlined in the assistant training matrix.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of product safety protocols.
  • Adhere to all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to read, comprehend, and follow customer specifications.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate operator software are required.
  • Visual acuity to perform inspections, including the use of measurement devices and color differentiation.
