Job Title: Parent Educator

Child and Family Service is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Parent Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthy development of children and families in our community.

Job Summary

The Parent Educator will conduct intake and initiate necessary forms to open cases, establish participant rapport, and provide empathetic encouragement and support to participants. This role will also involve conducting initial assessments, developing family service plans, and administering child development screens and other assessments as identified.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake and initiate necessary forms to open cases
  • Establish participant rapport and provide empathetic encouragement and support to participants
  • Conduct initial assessments in collaboration with Clinical Specialists
  • Develop family service plans in collaboration with families, Clinical Specialists, and CWS
  • Administer child development screens and other assessments as identified
  • Maintain participant confidentiality at all times
  • Participate in program staff meetings and attend training and other staff development activities
Requirements
  • High school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervised work experience with child and/or parents/families
  • Experience in working with issues such as child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and substance abuse
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in family services and early childhood education
  • Valid driver's license and current no-fault coverage
