Interventional Radiology Technologist Opportunity in Cleveland, Ohio

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in interventional radiology procedures and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.
This 13-week contract position offers a unique chance to work with a talented medical team and expand your skills in a dynamic environment. As an IR Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with minimally invasive procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the interventional radiology suite by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning correctly.
- Review patient information, medical history, and previous imaging studies to ensure accurate procedure planning.
- Verify patient identity, allergies, and consent forms before each procedure.
- Explain procedures to patients, address concerns, and provide reassurance to reduce anxiety.
- Assist interventional radiologists during a wide range of procedures, including angiograms, biopsies, catheter placements, stent insertions, and drain placements.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy, CT scans, or ultrasound, to guide physicians during procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and handle devices as required during procedures.
- Administer contrast agents or dyes as directed by the physician to enhance visibility on imaging.
- Monitor patient vital signs during procedures and report any changes to the medical team.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, positioning patients appropriately to obtain optimal images.
- Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for both patients and staff.
- Document patient information, procedures performed, imaging parameters, and medications administered in the electronic health record.
Requirements:
- Radiologic technology certification and experience in interventional radiology.
- Strong knowledge of imaging equipment, sterile procedures, and radiation safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and medical teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
