Job Details

Porter Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations on patients, including abdominal, pelvic, and small parts scans.
  • Conduct ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations as needed.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, examination results, and any relevant medical history.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques to provide the highest level of care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible with successful completion of the ARDMS or ARRT(S) registry within six months of employment.
  • Post-primary Sonography certification, including Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Pediatric Sonography.
  • Licensed by the State of Indiana as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Working Conditions

This is a 13-week contract position with a days schedule, Monday through Friday, with afternoon rotation and call.
