Job Summary

Palicon Group is seeking a skilled Background Investigator to conduct various types of investigations in accordance with industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of state and federal laws, as well as Palicon Group policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct background investigations of individuals, including pre-employment checks, to obtain information about their character, financial status, or personal history.
  • Search computer databases, credit reports, public records, tax or legal filings, or other resources to locate persons or to compile information for investigations.
  • Author reports or case summaries to document investigations.
  • Organize all investigative material in accordance with established procedures.
  • Question persons to obtain information and evidence for various investigative matters.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school or a G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of law enforcement experience with a minimum of one (1) year of investigation experience in a public safety environment.
  • A valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance policy.
  • Certificate of completion from a California POST approved background investigation course.

Working Conditions:

The Background Investigator will work under typical office conditions, with occasional travel required. The noise level is usually quiet, but may be loud in outside conditions.
