Job Title: Cardiac Surgery Unit Medical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Surgery Unit Medical Specialist to join our team at The GW Medical Faculty Associates. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive patient care services defined as data gathering, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, management of stable and chronic illnesses; and counseling.

About the Role:

  • You will perform evaluation and problem identification of patients, including history and physical examination.
  • You will write prescriptions, order laboratory data and radiological tests, and monitor patient status and response to treatments.
  • You will document findings in the medical record and recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • You will interact with consultants as appropriate and provide education and counseling for patients.
  • You will direct patients and/or families to agencies dealing with specific illnesses/diseases.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited institution.
  • Current NCCPA certification and D.C. licensure as a Physician Assistant, or ANCC certification and D.C. licensure as an NP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
