SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role within the patient care services team, focusing on both direct and indirect patient care responsibilities. This position is essential for delivering quality care to patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist licensed nursing staff by performing delegated tasks based on patient requirements and PCT competencies.
- Engage in technical and multi-skilled care activities to support patient well-being.
- Provide compassionate care while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course is mandatory.
- Prior experience in an acute care setting as a CNA is preferred.
- Current CPR certification from an AHA-approved provider is necessary.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age to qualify for this position.
