Touro University New York is seeking an experienced medical educator to teach Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) to first-year medical students on our Middletown, NY campus.
Key Responsibilities- Lecture Preparation and Delivery: Prepare and deliver lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topics, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of OMM principles and techniques.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in the assessment of student performance through various examination methods, as assigned by the department.
- Student Support and Guidance: Promote a conducive learning environment, respond to students' needs, and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure academic success.
- Committee Participation: Serve on Touro University New York committees as assigned, contributing to the development and implementation of academic programs.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide reports, budgetary information, and other documents as requested by Department Chairs, Directors, and Deans.
- Student Advising and Mentorship: Advise and mentor students, helping them navigate their academic and professional journeys.
- Admissions Support: Participate in medical student admission interviews, contributing to the selection of qualified candidates.
- Education and Experience: Applicants must possess a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, possess relevant content and clinical expertise, and have a passion for teaching osteopathic principles and techniques at the undergraduate medical education level.
Maximum Salary: USD $150.00/Hr.
Minimum Salary: USD $75.00/Hr.
