About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team at The Animal Hospital. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the health, appearance, and comfort of our furry clients. You will work independently yet cohesively within our veterinary team to ensure each pet receives top-notch grooming tailored to their needs and owner expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality, professional grooming services to pets using force-free methods.
  • Educate pet owners on products and services offered.
  • Conduct thorough check-in and check-out processes for each pet owner.
  • Bath and groom scheduled pets without assistance from hospital staff unless otherwise arranged.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Document grooming instructions and fees for all grooming clients.

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of professional grooming experience.
  • Grooming certification preferred.
  • Fear Free Certified Professional preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard cuts for all breeds.
  • Skilled in nail trimming, scissoring, styling, etc.
  • Sound understanding of animal behavior.
  • Ability to work under conditions requiring sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
  • Physically able to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 pounds.
