Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is a critical role at Hearthside Food Solutions, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform intermediate-level troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operation.
  • Complete shift work orders as assigned, accurately documenting and recording all necessary paperwork for tracking and auditing purposes.
  • Collaborate with machine operators and maintenance team members to identify and resolve equipment issues, and provide input on process improvements.
  • Work with management, engineering, and maintenance teams to continuously improve processes, procedures, and methods, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Perform Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures as necessary, and follow all Food Safety and Safety Procedures and Rules.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • 1 year of prior maintenance/mechanic experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably with processing and/or packaging equipment.
  • Electrical and electrical motor experience a plus.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities, and to follow all Food Safety and Safety Procedures and Rules.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Work Environment

This role is based in our North Sioux City, SD facility, where you will work in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to wet, dusty, and/or humid conditions, and moderate noise levels.
