Job Summary:
UTMB Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Director to join our team as the Director of Interventional Radiology. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for leading our interventional radiology section and contributing to the development of our academic radiology program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the interventional radiology section and provide clinical and administrative oversight
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and care
- Contribute to the development of our academic radiology program, including teaching and research
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in interventional radiology and implement best practices
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology
- At least one year of experience in interventional radiology
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to teach and contribute to academic radiology program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in interventional oncology, dialysis access maintenance, peripheral vascular intervention, treatment of portal hypertension, and renal/liver transplant procedures
- Experience with 3T intraoperative MRI and GE Revolution CT scanner
