Key Responsibilities:- Providing technical service to vehicles and equipment
- Performing general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines, and components
- Overhauling gas or diesel engines
- Installing injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, changing or recharging batteries, and replacing transmissions and other parts
- Reading job orders, observing, and listening to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures
- Examining protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and making adjustments as needed
- Lubricating moving parts and driving repaired vehicles to verify conformance to specifications
- Tagging all warranty parts and returns to the warranty clerk
- Attending training classes and staying up-to-date with factory technical bulletins
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction

- 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility
