About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design solutions for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery
  • Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to projects of varying size and complexity
  • Mentor and train junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, geometric, and algebraic principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads, or AutoCAD and Civil3D

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (depending on discipline)
