Audubon Companies is seeking a skilled Field Technician I to support our team in various locations.
The successful candidate will assist in daily activities related to data collection, supporting Corrosion Technicians in the field, and completing assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in company and client hazard identification and observation programs, reporting any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents to the supervisor.
- Perform tasks assigned by the Corrosion Technician, maintaining equipment and ensuring supplies and equipment are charged and stocked in vehicles.
- Listen to instructions and work in a variety of conditions, being self-aware of surroundings and environment.
- Operate vehicles and equipment necessary to complete projects, using hands and arms to handle, install, position, and move materials.
- Support all equipment, including Allegro QX, MC Miller Soil Res Box, Trimble, Fluke Meter, and Reference Cells.
- Participate in daily JSA with team members and perform Field Surveys as needed, including annual surveys, soil resistivity, LEF, EMF, CIS, and DCVG.
- Adhere to company quality standards and procedures, being dependable and able to work in a team environment.
- Communicate with supervisors and peers, providing information by phone, written, email, or in person.
- Understand and retain job-related vocabulary of the corrosion field, with dependable transportation to get to and from different job locations.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 0+ years of relevant experience in the pipeline industry.
- Basic knowledge of pipeline industry and integrity/corrosion programs.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Frequent standing and walking required throughout the day, occasional climbing, and frequent driving.
- Up to 100% travel, with weekend, holiday, and out of town work probable.
- Proficient in the use of basic computer skills (MS Windows, Excel, Word, email).
