Millwright Technician

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. in Nichols, NY.

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of equipment, as well as designing, fabricating, and welding of guarding equipment in steel, stainless, and aluminum. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of angles, excellent skill with squares and other tools, and experience with advanced measuring tools that use lasers.

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Design and fabricate guarding equipment in steel, stainless, and aluminum
• Install complex machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Competencies: Must have a great understanding of angles, excellent skill with squares and other tools, and experience with advanced measuring tools that use lasers

• Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience as a journey level millwright in a manufacturing operation
• High school diploma or GED
• Welding, fabrication, general machine assembly, and machine alignment experience, TIG, MIG, and/or STICK welding will be a plus
• Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Forklift and scissors lift experience highly preferred
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills/experience
