Join our team as an Avionics Technician and take advantage of a competitive sign-on bonus for qualified candidates with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. This role operates on a second shift schedule, with opportunities for overtime from Tuesday to Friday, working four 10-hour days.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour contributions will be vital in ensuring the seamless operation of our aviation services. As an Avionics Technician, you will:
- Conduct routine maintenance and comprehensive inspections on aircraft and engines.
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on various aircraft components and engines.
- Test, install, and repair electrical and avionics systems, including those in the flight compartment.
- Route wiring throughout the aircraft, integrating new and factory-installed wire bundles.
- Execute less complex tasks independently while ensuring high-quality standards.
- Install, align, and wire electrical and electronic components such as instruments, sensors, and communication systems.
- Determine optimal installation methods for electronic equipment by adhering to engineering specifications and wiring diagrams.
- Document all completed work accurately and concisely.
- Participate in overtime and travel to various locations as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 1-3 years of relevant avionics installation experience, particularly with Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, or Go Go product lines.
- The ability to work the second shift and perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- A solid understanding of electrical and electronic theories, with the capability to interpret wiring diagrams.
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment.
- Strong analytical skills for complex mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with color coding and symbols used in hardware identification.
Aviation training is preferred, which may include military training, technical school education, or an Aviation Associate's Degree. We offer a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and development.
