Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's maintenance and upkeep standards meet Graduate Brand and Guest standards. This includes proactive preventative maintenance programs, ensuring the hotel's facilities are safe and well-maintained, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement proactive preventative maintenance programs to ensure the hotel's facilities are safe and well-maintained
- Ensure the hotel's maintenance and upkeep standards meet Graduate Brand and Guest standards
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to identify and address any maintenance issues
- Develop and maintain a work order assignment program to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance leadership, preferably in the hospitality industry
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-high school education preferred
- Certified pool operator certification preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
