Crossroads Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our Day Treatment Program team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality mental health services to children and youth experiencing significant mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Individual and Group Services: Offer support, assessment, intervention, and consultation within the Day Treatment Program to children and youth experiencing mental health issues.
- Assess and Develop Treatment Plans: Conduct assessments for new admits to the program and develop individualized treatment plans to address their unique needs.
- Provide Trauma-Informed Services: Offer trauma-informed services to clients and their families in the Day Treatment Program, community, home, and virtually.
- Document Client Progress: Accurately and concisely document client progress, including diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Advocate for Clients: Advocate on behalf of clients and their families to ensure their needs are met and their rights are protected.
- Manage Crisis Situations: Provide client monitoring and behavioral interventions, including the use of physical holds as needed and according to Crossroads Health policy, OHMHAS, and JCAHO guidelines.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree acceptable with 3 years of experience; Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work preferred.
- Licensure: Must be licensed in Ohio as LPC/LSW; LPCC/LISW preferred.
- Training and Certification: AMD- Aggressive Management De-escalation/Physical Hold Training within the first 6 months of employment (employer-provided); certified in or willing to become certified in physical holds.
- Work Environment: Work in the Day Treatment setting, community, and homes with occasional travel within Lake County.
- Transportation: Possess a valid Ohio Driver's license (4 points or less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000.
