Geometry Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Geometry Teacher to join our team at Albuquerque Public Schools. As a Geometry Teacher in our special education department, you will be responsible for creating a flexible program and environment that fosters learning and personal growth.

The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as flexibility, organization, decision making and problem solving skills. They should also possess interpersonal skills with diverse populations, including students, parents and community members.

• **Job Responsibilities:**

• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional and academic growth.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students.
• Assess student progress on a regular basis and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain open lines of communication with students, parents and colleagues.
• Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in special education.

**Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field.
• Current New Mexico teaching certificate endorsed in Mathematics.

**Salary:** $60,000 - $80,000 per year (Schedule A). **Days:** 190 days. **Hours:** 6.5 hours per day. **Estimated Salary Range:** $96,000 - $128,000 per year.
