Job Title: Senior Quality Technician

At IntriCon, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Technician to join our team. As a Senior Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret part prints and specifications to develop inspection programs for SmartScopes or Keyence Vision System
  • Design holding fixtures for use in Measurement System Analysis (GR&R studies; plans and executes GR&R studies)
  • Author and train operators to inspection work instructions and workmanship standards; ensures these instructions comply with current QMS practices
  • Perform measurement activities (including but not limited to First Article Inspection Reports, DOE/OQ/PQ measurements) of parts to qualify new tools, processes, equipment, or other changes
  • Identify part nonconformances or outliers and coordinate with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Press Technicians to make corrections
  • Maintain calibrations for measurement equipment (i.e. updates software for OGP SmartScopes, calibrates hand tools, works with Supply Chain to submit Purchase Order Requests, coordinates with 3 party vendors to schedule updates/calibrations/preventive maintenance/repair appointments)
  • Updates qualified programs to continuously improve efficiencies and accuracies while maintaining adherence to the Quality Management System
  • Aids in Production Inspection as other responsibilities
Requirements:
  • Vocational/Technical 2-year degree preferred
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred
  • Preferred eight (8) years equivalent experience in medical device or similar industry or ten (10) years of experience in related field
  • Experience with hand-held measurement equipment
Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to write and run inspection programs for vision/probing measurement equipment
  • Interpret part prints (dimensions and GD&T)
  • Working knowledge of CAD, SolidWorks, 3D printing
  • Motivated and uses problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing, Statistical software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; applies continuous improvement techniques to promote quality; monitors own work to ensure quality
  • Sincere work ethic for adhering to standards, policies, and procedures
Physical Requirements:

While performing duties of this Job, employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and or operations of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
