Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at Discovering Our World CDC.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and education, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for preschool-aged children, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct preschoolers in age-appropriate activities that promote intellectual and creative growth.
  • Create a fun and stimulating atmosphere that encourages curiosity and exploration.
  • Develop and implement daily schedules and routines that balance physical activity, rest, educational time, and playtime.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and development.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all students, maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
  • Design diverse learning opportunities and objectives that cater to different learning styles.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and maintain portfolios.
  • Cleanliness and organization of the classroom are essential aspects of this role.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or a related field is essential.
  • A passion for working with young children and building meaningful relationships with families.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles.
  • A patient and empathetic demeanor, with a positive attitude towards challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
