As a Culinary Specialist with the U.S. Army, you'll play a critical role in providing high-quality meals to Soldiers across various operational environments.
Key Responsibilities- Bake, fry, braise, boil, simmer, steam and saute as prescribed by Army recipes to meet dietary needs of personnel.
- Operate, maintain and clean field kitchen equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met.
- Perform preventive maintenance on garrison and field kitchen equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Must be an interest in joining the Army and serving our nation.
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien with a valid passport.
- Age: 17 to 34 years old.
- In good physical condition and meet height/weight standards.
- No felony-level offenses and must have a good moral standing.
- No major medical procedures that would prohibit you from service.
- No tattoos on the hands, neck, or face.
- Up to $40,000 enlistment bonuses for new recruits.
- Up to $115,000 for additional education benefits, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill and Montgomery GI Bill – Active Duty.
- 30 days vacation with pay per year to recharge and relax.

- The Montgomery GI Bill – Selected Reserve helps members of the Army Reserve pay for education benefits for a maximum of 36 months, in return for a six-year service commitment.
As a Culinary Specialist with the U.S. Army, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from $25,000 to $45,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. This includes up to $40,000 enlistment bonuses, which can significantly boost your overall compensation package.
