Job Title: Oncology Massage Therapist

This is a unique opportunity to join the St. Charles Health System team as an Oncology Massage Therapist. As a key member of our Cancer Center, you will provide massage therapy and lymphedema massage to cancer patients in active treatment and cancer survivors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide light, gentle massage to patients in active cancer treatment to increase wellness, relaxation, stress reduction, pain relief, and postural improvement.
  • Assess each lymphedema patient pre and post treatment for pitting edema and provide maintenance lymphedema massage to cancer survivors with chronic lymphedema symptoms.
  • Assess each massage patient pre and post treatment for pain, anxiety, sense of well-being, and pulse.
  • Maintain understanding of appropriate massage based on patient therapy and avoid massage to areas being irradiated.
  • Support the vision, mission, and values of the organization in all respects.
  • Support Lean principles of continuous improvement with energy and enthusiasm.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited massage therapy program and Oregon state licensure.
  • Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Oncology Massage Certification, and Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) certifications.
  • One (1) year experience as LMT with one (1) year experience in oncology massage and lymphedema massage.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe and clean workspace. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
