Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager

At Texas Back Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for directing the Company's accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain generally accepted accounting principles, practices, and procedures;
  • Act as liaison between Texas Back Institute and outside accounting firms and pension plan administrators for completion of annual tax and benefit returns;
  • Maintain and assist with annual benefit and insurance renewals;
  • Perform operational tasks such as AP and AR;
  • Become familiar with practice management software;
  • Administer monthly reporting required under various Agreements;
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees;
  • Prepare monthly statistical reports for CEO;
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Preparation and transmittal of monthly, semi-monthly, and bi-weekly payrolls;
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly financial statements and reports for CEO;
  • Perform back house accounting functions for related entity;
  • Handle special projects as needed;
  • Continuously explore alternative methods for effective and efficient collection and disbursement processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) required in related field;
  • 2-5 years' experience with accounting concepts, practices, and procedures;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and accounting software, preferably QuickBooks;
  • Ability to work effectively with various departments and locations within TBI as well as with outside vendors and clients.

Core Competencies:

  • Honesty, ethics, and integrity are crucial competencies due to the confidential nature of dealing with payroll matters and intimate knowledge of the Company's financial condition.
  • Accounting and reporting work requires attention to detail.
  • Judgment and interpersonal skills are necessary due to the need to work with other departments/locations as well as people outside the Company.
  • The ability to prioritize and multitask is important due to the diversity of tasks associated with this position.
