Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of pedestrians under supervision
  • Complete all training and certification requirements
  • Be aware of surroundings and report suspicious activity
  • Provide education on safe crossing procedures
  • Follow MUTCD requirements and utilize mandatory equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday during morning and afternoon hours
  • Reliable transportation
  • Personal clothing and equipment
  • Internal applicants must have completed one-year probationary period
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
Working Conditions

The work environment is in the field, requiring the ability to work outside in various weather conditions. The incumbent must provide their own transportation and be able to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Physical Attributes Requirements
  • Mobility: frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, climbing stairs
  • Lifting: able to lift 25 pounds
  • Visual: constant overall vision, eye-hand coordination, reading/close-up work
  • Dexterity: frequent repetitive motion, reaching
